On this Anchorage day trip, join a small-group tour for a drive on the Glenn Highway Scenic Byway, passing farmland that grows record breaking produce on your way to the Talkeetna Mountains and alpine area of Independence Mine State Historical Park in the beautiful Hatcher Pass. In the summer months (July & August), take a short walk through the old mining town which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In fall and spring, take a short scenic walk in Hatcher Pass instead.
