I’ve enjoyed welcoming visitors to Alaska since I was a child helping out at my grandmother’s campground in Fairbanks. Through my work and a life spent in Alaska, I’ve cruised the Inside Passage, visited Barrow, Nome and Kotzebue, toured seven national parks, relaxed on the Alaska Railroad, and flown to remote lodges.
In addition to living in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Haines, I have also been a visitor, giving me a complete perspective to help clients get the most from their time in Alaska. Some of my favorite experiences have been in Lake Clark NP, Prudhoe Bay, Kenai Fjords NP, and Juneau. I love showing off the variety and beauty my state has to offer!
My love for Alaska started as a child in my dad’s bush plane. We’d take off from our Bristol Bay fishing lodge and look for a remote lake to spend the day hiking and fishing. Alaska was mesmerizing to me as a child and it continues to be so today. As an adult, I’ve had the privilege of leading tours to remote regions of the Arctic.
Learning about Alaska’s rich cultural heritage is both educating and rewarding. My favorite place in all of Alaska is Point Hope, a tiny Inupiaq village on the edge of the Chukchi Sea. In the summers, you’ll often find me out exploring Alaska’s parks with my family in our vintage VW camper bus. I love seeing my kids light up through travel and outdoor experiences.
As a lifelong Alaskan I love the immense beauty and vast wilderness Alaska has to offer. As a young child I grew up fishing for King Salmon almost as big as me!
I have enjoyed many adventures living here including kayaking in Prince William Sound, backpacking deep inside Denali National Park and glacier exploration by helicopter in the Tordrillo Mountains. I love helping others to create their own perfect “Alaskan Adventures”.
My love for Alaska started when I first set foot in the state in 2011. Growing up in Denmark, the wilderness of Alaska had been calling me closer since my childhood. Alaska was everything and more than I had imagined! My once-in-a-lifetime visit turned in to more visits. When I was given the chance to make Alaska my home, I didn’t hesitate.
I moved to Anchorage in January of 2015. My greatest joys are found in the outdoors. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding and any new experiences I can get. I may have lived here a short time, but I have explored and partaken in as many truly Alaskan activities as possible, including silly things such as running with the reindeer during the Fur Rondy festival.
My two favorite places so far are Kenai Fjords National Park and Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Let me share my love of Alaska with you and make your visit an experience of a lifetime!
