Alaska Family Vacations

Wildlife, Adventure, Education, History and Fun

If visiting Alaska sounds exciting for you, imagine how the kids in your life will feel when they experience Alaska’s wonders with you.

On an Alaska family vacation, Alaska will fill their minds with marvel and their hearts with happiness. And they’ll thank you for this memorable trip for the rest of their lives.

A is for Alaska, a mysterious and exhilarating wonderland for kids. Alaska is filled with history, culture, true tales of adventure and exploration, fun facts and one-of-a-kind experiences that will wow even the most curious minds and make memories that will last a lifetime. Alaska’s museums have sections that will educate and inspire kids. And Alaska also has North Pole, a community just outside of Fairbanks, where, legend has it, a guy who is pretty popular with the kids makes his home.

A is for Adventure, the more the better for families exploring Alaska. There are family friendly hikes, paddles and bike rides that offer views that will wow the whole family. There are tours on buses, boats, trains and planes that will make them “wow!” with delight. There are also family favorites like rafting and kayaking, skiing and snowboarding, sledding and even wildflower and berry picking.

A is for Animals, which all kids love and which, in Alaska, number in the millions. A trip to the Anchorage Zoo, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center or the Seward Sealife Center will allow your kids to meet some of Alaska’s most popular residents. There are also wildlife tours and cruises galore across the state for their amusement. You can even visit an Iditarod racer’s dog kennel, where your pack can meet these four-legged champions or take a ride with them in the summer or winter.

And A is also for Awesome, which is pretty much what your kids will say when they see Alaska’s massive mountains, many glaciers, dazzling northern lights, bald eagles, bears and mountain goats and glittering sunsets.
