Depart very early this morning from Cooper Landing for a freshwater salmon fishing charter on the Kenai River. Fish the Lower Kenai River for giant king salmon in July or fish for silver salmon in August and September. Revel in the ideal fishing platform provided on custom 4-passenger power boats.
Good to know: Fishing is from a powerboat, using spin gear. King Salmon fishing begins around the end of June and ends July 31. King Salmon fishing is not possible every day however as, due to Alaska fishing regulations, the river can be closed from time to time due to depletion of fish populations. Current Alaska King Salmon catch limit is 1 per day; 2 per season.
Silver Salmon fishing typically takes place from August to early September. Current silver salmon catch limit is 2 per day. Depending on fishing regulations, King Salmon and Silver Salmon fishing may also take place in Resurrection Bay in Seward.
Note: This tour departs from Cooper Landing located approximately 56 miles east of Kenai, 45 miles east of Soldotna and 48 miles north of Seward.
Fishing license, King Salmon stamp, transfers and gratuity.
