About Skagway:
History and Sightseeing Options

Skagway Alaska has a unique place in Alaska's
history; known as the "Gateway to the Yukon" during
the Klondike gold rush. Today, one can almost hear
the cries of "gold in the Yukon" echoing from canyon
walls. Surrounded by magnificent wild nature,
Skagway is positioned at the head of a deep fjord
making it an ideal stop for cruise ships
sailing Alaska's Inside Passage. This is a place where the romance and excitement of
yesteryear lingers around every street corner.
There are a wide variety
of Skagway tours and excursions that
give you a feel for the town, bring you
to the Yukon and take you back to those
Gold Rush days! Choices include

rush history that put Skagway on the
