  • Starting at: $N/A / per person
  • Duration: 12 hours
  • Dates: Tour is not available in 2020.

Tour Overview

In the morning, depart Anchorage and fly to Nome, located on the Bering Sea. Upon arrival in Nome you will be picked up and greeted by your local Alaskan tour guide. Depending on the day of the week, you will either do a tour of just Nome and near surroundings OR you may go out to the small community of Teller as well. For either tour you will be traveling to the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve to learn about the local terrain, the flora and fauna of this Far North environment. Watch for musk ox which often can be spotted here. Take a “walk” on the arctic’s tundra and touch the permafrost. Nome’s Gold Rush history is also on display and you will have a chance to try your luck at gold panning. Complete your day in Nome with time to independently explore downtown and enjoy dinner (not included) before flying back to Anchorage.

This tour is not available in 2020. Looking for a tour to Nome? Check out our Nome and The Bering Land Bridge tour.
