Tour Itinerary

Sitka Arrival

Welcome aboard! Transfer to your vessel in the afternoon. Please arrange your arrival no later than 2:30 pm today. A pre-night in port is highly recommended. After meeting your crew and getting acquainted with your ship's features, finish the evening with a delicious meal.

Krestof & Nakwasina Sounds

Discover remote areas along the western side of Baranof Island. With many secluded coves and islands, discover the region's inter-tidal zones from your skiff or kayak while watching for whales and sea lions. Gear up for a guided hike with your expedition team for a new perspective of the vast, stunning Tongass National Forest.

Sergius Narrows / Neva Strait

Opening at Hoonah Sound, this haven for small ships is scenically highlighted by a very narrow connecting passageway called Sergius Narrows. This is a great place to watch the shoreline for bears, the waters for otters and whales, and to look skyward for eagles.

Chichagof Island

Explore the spectacular waterfall coast of Chichagof Island. Anchor in remote waters for an opportunity to kayak. Explore the shoreline on an intertidal walk or forest exploration.

Icy Strait

Set course for arguably the richest whale waters in Southeast Alaska. Join the Captain on the bridge or the Expedition Leaders in search of marine mammals. Ride the skiffs for a closer inspection of the remote coastline with eyes set on the shoreline for possible bear sightings.

Glacier Bay National Park

Enter Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve.A National Park Ranger joins as you uncover coves and corners of the bay. Spot the many species of rare sea birds and keep your eyes on the water and the island for brightly-colored puffins and black oystercatchers. Look for sea lions, mountain goats, bears, eagles, and spectacular scenic backdrops. Tidewater glaciers sweep like rivers of ice down massive mountain valleys, terminating before you in the waters of Glacier Bay. A stop is made in Bartlett Cove for a visit to the Park Service's Headquarters.

Enjoy the remote waterways of Lynn Canal or Chatham Strait today. Slip into a kayak or try out your skills paddle boarding and gliding along rocky outcroppings with your guides. Watch for harbor seals and bald eagles. In the evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner.

Juneau Departure

A Bon Voyage breakfast ends your ship journey; however, there are many enticing ways to extend your journey. Transfer directly to the airport or arrange for an add-on overnight stay or an extended land tour. (Please arrange a departure no earlier than 11:30am today.)
