On this day trip from Anchorage downtown, travel to Seward, Alaska, early morning by motorcoach or Alaska Railroad, then depart on a 5.5- to 6-hour wildlife and glacier cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. This seacoast area in Southcentral Alaska is famous for its rich marine wildlife, beautiful fjords, stunning coastal landscapes, and numerous glaciers. Watch for stellar sea lions, puffins, harbor seals, sea otters, and birds; you may even see a whale or bald eagle! Stop at either Aialik or Holgate Glacier to witness glacier calving. Return to Anchorage this evening by motorcoach or Alaska Railroad.
