Enjoy a fun and exciting dogsledding day tour out of Girdwood just south of Anchorage. The most extraordinary Alaskan experience of all is dog sledding on a glacier! Enjoy a scenic 10-minute round-trip helicopter flight from Girdwood to the unique glacier base camp, which serves as a summer-time training ground for Iditarod Race sled dogs. Learn about the sport of mushing and hold adorable sled dog puppies while the team gets ready to depart. You will then enjoy a guided scenic sled ride along a spectacular 2-mile glacier trail. The time spent on the glacier is approximately 1 1/4 hours.
