Tour overview:
Depart from Anchorage by wheeled plane for a 90-minute scenic flight southwest over Cook Inlet toward the Chigmit Mountains. Enjoy spectacular views of the Alaska and Aleutian Mountain Ranges and two active volcanoes – Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Iliamna – before landing on the beach in Chinitna Bay on the southern end of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.

Listen as your expert Alaska naturalist guide shares tales of the resident Lake Clark bears and their families. Your small group will board a 4-wheel drive minibus and be transported to where the bears are the most active. You will have the rare opportunity to join these amazing animals in their natural habitat. About 3 hours will be spent with guided bear viewing. A snack box is provided on the return flight.

Good to know: Bear viewing for Chinitna Bay is most reliable from mid-May to the first week of July and from the second week of August to the end of August. Bear sightings are not guaranteed.
