Tour Overview

This day tour from Fairbanks in the winter transports you on a guided road trip up the Dalton Highway into the Alaskan Arctic. As you depart Fairbanks, you drive alongside the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Then, walking on the Arctic tundra will give you a sense of the vast scale of Alaska’s Arctic Region. You’ll then drive all the way north to the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Certificate. On the way back to Fairbanks, watch for Alaska’s infamous Northern Lights and stop and marvel at the scenic beauty of Alaska and Canada’s famous waterway, the Yukon River.

Please note: this Arctic Circle Northern Lights Driving Tour in the Winter returns to Fairbanks in the middle of the night (between 3:30 am and 4:30 am) in order to maximize your opportunities for viewing the Northern Lights.
