Tour Overview

This Fall season day tour from Fairbanks takes you on a guided road trip up the Dalton Highway into the Alaskan Arctic. As you travel out of Fairbanks, you’ll see the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Walk on the Arctic tundra to discover the vast scale of Alaska’s Arctic Region. Then continue your drive all the way north to the Arctic Circle where you’ll receive your official Arctic Circle Certificate. On the way back south to Fairbanks, stop and marvel at the scenic beauty of Alaska and Canada’s famous waterway, the Yukon River. As day turns to night, stop in Joy Alaska at the Arctic Circle Trading Post to scan the darkened skies for the best opportunity to view the Northern Lights.

Please note: this tour returns to Fairbanks very late night (between 3:30am and 4:30am) in order to maximize your opportunity for the best views of the Northern Lights. A large portion of the tour’s duration will occur during the night.
