Root Glacier Hike (Full Day)
An expert guide leads a hike from Kennicott for an in-depth day of exploration on this massive ice flow in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

Physical Activity:
No experience necessary but participants should be able to hike about 8-10 miles on uneven terrain. The last ¼ mile of the trail to / from the glacier has deteriorated in recent years and could have loose rock, exposed ice, loose rock over ice, or steep terrain. This can be challenging for younger children or adults who are unstable on their feet.
