Tour overview:
A one-hour drive from Anchorage brings you to Knik River Valley and its unique helicopter base in the foothills of the Chugach Mountains. You will take a breathtaking 15-minute helicopter ride to the Knik Glacier. You will see turquoise melt pools, steep ice walls, and deep crevasses during the flight. After landing on the glacier, explore the 1000-foot thick ice with your experienced pilot/guide for approximately 30 minutes on the glacier.

Note: If your party is larger than three or exceeds the overall weight limit, your party will be broken up into two helicopters, but you will be on the glacier simultaneously (up to 6 passengers).

Special Terms: A 2-person minimum is required for this tour. A surcharge will apply for passengers weighing more than 250 lbs. Maximum weight per person is 300 lbs.

Amazing Alaska! Seeing the aurora borealis was a bucket list item for me. I choose the tour with Alaska Tours for this reason. I could not have asked for better. The accommodations were very comfortable and the train ride from Denali to Anchorage was wonderful!
