Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is the only lodge located inside of Kenai Fjords National Park. Accessible from Seward via a 4-5 hour glacier and marine wildlife boat cruise, Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is a perfect wilderness lodge addition to any Alaska vacation!
This custom-built lodge is a welcome new addition to Alaska’s sea coast nature lodges. Situated on the banks of a protected lagoon just outside Aialik Bay, the lodge features stunning views of Pedersen Glacier flowing out of the massive Harding Icefield in the Kenai Mountains which surround the lodge. Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge features an elegant, log-built main lodge providing delicious meals and relaxation, with 16 nicely-appointed cabins with private bathrooms.
By day, guests can choose from a range of activities to match guest interests and energy levels, including guided hiking to sea kayaking through the lagoon and in Aialik Bay. For the less adventuresome, relax by strolling along the pristine beachfront or perusing the naturalist library in the main lodge. In the evening, the main lodge serves as the dining room and lounge. Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is an ideal venue to relax and appreciate Alaska’s majestic beauty.
Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is located on the remote wilderness shores of Kenai Fjords National Park. Access to the lodge is by boat only. An overnight in Seward prior to this lodge stay is required.
Departure from Seward to Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge
At approx. 10:00 am depart from the scenic seaport of Seward. After a 4-5 hour wildlife and tidewater glacier cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park, arrive at a remote beach near the lodge. The lodge and guest cabins are an easy 20 minute walk from the outer coast along a maintained trail; motorized travel is provided if desired. After an orientation you have the afternoon available for optional activities. Evening programs are also available (lunch, dinner).
While at the lodge, guests enjoy great Alaskan-styled appetizers, main courses and desserts served in a family-style setting. Using the finest ingredients, the chefs create beautiful meals featuring fresh baked breads, a variety of fruits and vegetables, fresh Alaska seafood and other specialty dishes. The lodge can also accommodate special dietary needs and offers vegetarian options - with advanced notice only! Beverages are not included, beer and wine are available for purchase.
Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge
After breakfast this morning, choose a morning guided activity to suit your interest. Lunch is either in-camp or packed lunch on an activity. Activities from the lodge include sea kayaking on protected waters (from short paddles to half-day trips), hiking, as well as exploring the lagoon by canoe. Each day offers a variety of activity choices to meet guest's interest and energy level.

If you are departing today, after lunch you will board the boat for a scenic boat tour through parts of Kenai Fjords National Park back to Seward. The return journey is approximately 3 hours. Arrive in Seward between 5:00-5:30pm in time for train and bus departures to Anchorage, or add an extra overnight in Seward (not included).
Note: While access to the lodge by boat is possible most of the summer, high winds and storm systems may occur. If safe and comfortable boat travel to the lodge is not possible, alternate accommodations, activities, and meals in the town of Seward will be provided until passage to the lodge is possible. In this case, no refunds will be granted and no additional charges will be levied.
