Tour Itinerary

Fairbanks Arrival

Arrive into Fairbanks and transfer from the airport by hotel shuttle or on your own. Depending on when you arrive, you may have time for optional activities such as a tour over the Arctic Circle (see Tour Add-Ons). Overnight in Fairbanks.

Depart from your hotel for a 5-hour sightseeing tour of Fairbanks. During this guided tour, you will visit the University of Alaska Museum where you can marvel at the natural and cultural history of Alaska as well as discover the science behind the majestic Northern Lights. Other stops include the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitor Center and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. On days when it is open, you will visit the world famous Santa Claus House; you may even get to meet Kris Kringle and his reindeer! Your day tour concludes at your hotel around 3:00pm.
Late in the evening you will be picked up for an Aurora viewing tour. An approximate 45-minute drive will take you to an Aurora viewing yurt. The yurt is designed especially for viewing the Northern Lights and located away from the city lights that can hinder Aurora viewing. We recommend you dress warmly for this tour so you may view the Northern Lights from outdoor as well as the yurt. Hot beverages are provided and the yurt has an outhouse-style restroom attached. Your driver will return you to your hotel around 2:30am. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs

This afternoon, you will be picked up from your hotel and transfers about 1 1/2 hours to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the Ice Museum. Afterwards, soak and relax in the natural hot springs. Around midnight, look for the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Depart at about 2:30am, arriving back at your hotel around 4:00am.

Fairbanks Departure

You may have time this morning to explore on your own, before meeting a hotel shuttle to the airport to meet your departing flight.

SPECIAL NOTE: Reserved tour date may change due to Northern Lights activity, weather, or other considerations, after the tour has been confirmed. You will be consulted regarding any changes.
