Caribou Lodge is an Alaska wilderness lodge located on a remote lake above the timberline in the Talkeetna Mountains, just southeast of Denali National Park and east of Talkeetna. Nature and tranquility are their only neighbors. Caribou Lodge is one of a select few Alaska lodges with fantastic views of Denali and the Talkeetna Mountains, yet it is not located inside Denali National Park. Wildlife in the area includes caribou, moose, grizzly and black bears, Dall sheep, wolves, coyotes, fox, wolverine, and many species of birds.
The long summer days bring incredible early sunrises at Caribou Lodge, and the elegance of the midnight sun, as it slips behind Mt. Denali, is a sight to behold. Spending a few days in your private rustic but comfortable cabin at Caribou Lodge is an insightful and authentic way to experience living in the Alaska bush.
Please note that the cabins do not have a private bathroom. Guests share exceptionally clean outhouses, and a centrally located shower house.
