“Flawlessly planned 10-day itinerary. This was a land-based tour, not a cruise. We visited Alaska in March to see northern lights (aka aurora borealis), ride the Aurora Winter train, and soak in hot springs. I did extensive online searches for a tour that would check all 3 boxes, and did not find one that took in all the places I wanted to go. The Alaska Tours website advertised custom tours, so I called their toll-free number and spoke to Kimberley Norman. She listened, knew instantly the best way to accomplish this, suggested activities we might be interested in, knew which hotels operated shuttles to/from airports and train stations, which hotels would be best for our needs, and within a week it was all arranged, agreed to, booked, confirmed. When we received the actual travel documents, about a week or 10 days prior to departure, the arrangements were exactly as we had agreed. Besides the tickets and vouchers, the document packet also included a lot of helpful info about the places we were to visit and what to expect upon arrival/departure. In addition to the printed materials, Kimberley had given me other helpful tips and info during our phone discussions. This itinerary was flawless. No problems anywhere along the way. Every day (or night for the aurora viewing) featured a highlight. The trip itself was highly successful and entirely enjoyable. Thank you, Kimberley.”
