This day tour is just a 1-hour drive away from Anchorage and includes flightseeing and dog sledding, an unbeatable combination for any Alaska visitor interested in active outdoor recreation! From Knik River Lodge’s base you will take a breathtaking 15-20 minute helicopter ride up to Colony Glacier. After landing on the glacier, meet an experienced Iditarod Musher who will teach you to mush your own dog sled team along one of the most scenic snow covered glaciers. You’ll spend about one hour dog sledding on the glacier.
Note: If your party is larger than 3 or if you exceed the overall weight limit, your party will be broken up in 2 helicopters but you will be on the glacier at the same time (up to 6 passengers).

A 2-person minimum is required for this tour. A surcharge will apply for passengers weighing more than 250 lbs. Maximum weight per person is 300 lbs.
