Tour overview:
This exciting Anchorage day tour combines helicopter flightseeing with dog sledding on an Alaska glacier and showcases Alaska’s wilderness by air and dog sled! After a 1 to 1.5-hour van transfer (each way) from Anchorage, you arrive at Alaska Glacier Lodge, a unique helicopter base in the Chugach Mountains. Alaska Glacier Lodge offers a variety of glacier flightseeing tours by helicopter. As soon as you lift off, you will see the Knik Glacier. Soar over the glacier and scenic Lake George, then land at the glacier base camp, where you will have an hour to experience a dog sledding adventure you will never forget. Meet an experienced musher who will teach you to steer your dog sled team along one of Alaska’s most scenic snow-covered glaciers! Upon return to Alaska Glacier Lodge, depart on your van and transfer back to Anchorage.

Special Terms: There is a 2-person minimum required for this tour to operate. Child price only valid if accompanied by 2 full paying adults. A surcharge will apply for passengers weighing 250 lbs or more; maximum weight per person is 300 lbs. If your party is larger than 3 or if you exceed the overall weight limit, your party will be broken up but you will be on the glacier at the same time.

We highly recommend visiting the Anchorage Museum. Weather was great, similar to our Arizona winter. Our group was small so we traveled in a van. Our driver accommodated special requests and taxied us to local restaurants. Just as promised: 5 star scenery with 3 star accommodations.
