Tour Overview
This Juneau day trip begins paddling across Mendenhall Lake in 6 or 12-person canoes. Take in the awe-inspiring Mendenhall Glacier ahead as well as the blue icebergs of all shapes and sizes. Upon reaching the beach near the glacier’s edge, trade in the paddles for backpacks and trekking poles. With the use of crampons, you will hike on moderate glacier terrain exploring accessible features such as crevasses, ice caves and moulins. After your glacier adventure, return to your canoe and paddle across Mendenhall Lake once more.

What's Not Included
Transfers within Juneau. Transfer cost from Juneau downtown to tour meeting point is approx. $30 one way.
Required at Booking
Body weights; shoe, jacket and pants sizes along with cruise ship or hotel information in Juneau. Medical issues, allergies and dietary restrictions.
Special Terms
There is a 5 person minimum is required to operate this tour. Circumstances such as poor weather, inadequate footwear, or a slow pace may limit the time spent on the glacier. Unfortunately visiting specific glacier feature such as ice caves and moulins, cannot be guaranteed due to the constantly changing nature of Mendenhall Glacier. Children must be 12 years old to participate in this tour. Maximum body weight is 250 lbs.
