This Juneau day trip is a perfect and gentle introduction to Alaskan white water rafting. This tour out of Juneau begins with a scenic drive to Mendenhall Lake, where you will suit up with whitewater rafting gear and board your 8 to 12 passenger raft. Your professional guide will explain the natural phenomena at work in the valley as you float past Mendenhall Glacier, icebergs and towering peaks. During this easy rafting trip, you will encounter stretches of moderate rapids that add excitement to the trip (1.5 to 2 hours on water). Once ashore you will enjoy an Alaskan-style snack. The tour departs from the Mt. Roberts Tram near the Juneau cruise ship dock.
