Ice Climbing on Root Glacier
Guided glacier adventure while visiting Wrangell-St. Elias National Park from McCarthy and Kennicott.

Meals and gratuities.
Physical Activity:
Must be able to hike about 5-6 miles on uneven terrain. The last ¼ mile of the trail to / from the glacier has deteriorated in recent years and could have loose rock, exposed ice, loose rock over ice, or steep terrain. No previous climbing experience necessary but participants should be in good physical condition and bring an adventurous spirit.
