The Alaska city of Homer is known as the “Halibut Capital of the World” and offers some of Alaska’s best halibut fishing from mid-May to September. The boat trip itself on this Homer fishing trip is a treat – cruising the beautiful shoreline, you regularly see sea otters, whales, puffins, and other marine wildlife. The ship captains are friendly, experienced fishermen who know where the fish hideout. During this Homer fishing day trip, you will be instructed on the proper halibut fishing techniques, your hook will be baited, and your catch will be thoroughly cleaned and packed.

Note: To provide the best halibut fishing possible, your boat ride to the fishing area may take from 45 minutes up to two hours.
