Tour overview:
This guided “Fairbanks Highlights” day tour during the fall and winter tour seasons in Alaska showcases all the best seasonal spotlights of Fairbanks. You will stop at the Trans Alaska Pipeline, where your guide will explain the astonishing engineering of the pipeline, the oil fields in Prudhoe Bay, and the Alaska oil industry. At the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, you will find exhibits about Fairbanks and Interior Alaska. From there, continue to the Museum of the North with its dramatic architecture and new exhibit galleries. (Note that on specific departure dates, the tour instead visits the Antique Auto Museum). Finally, travel to the town of North Pole to visit the Santa Claus House, where you may be able to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, take pictures of their reindeer team, and find unique Alaska Christmas gifts.
