Tour overview:
Learn about Seward’s fascinating history and the Iditarod Trail while enjoying the beautiful scenery on this Seward summer day trip. You’ll travel to 2017 Iditarod champion Mitch Seavey’s sled dog kennel, where you can meet famous dogs, cuddle adorable puppies, dress up as an Iditarod musher, and hear stories about the 1,000-mile dog sledding race. Afterward, take in the spectacular Alaskan wilderness as you mush for two miles on a wheeled cart with an Iditarod competitor. After a hearty lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Exit Glacier. Enjoy a short walk along a nature trail to the face of the glacier. To round out your day, tour the charming town of Seward and its many highlights and learn about the 1964 earthquake.

Good to know: This tour meets at the Seward Train Station and corresponds with the train arrival and departure schedule. The order of the services may be altered.

We did the train trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage with 2 nights in Denali Park. Beautiful! All our tours were good. Everything went smoothly.
