Day 1: On arrival in
Anchorage, transfer
to hotel by courtesy shuttle or taxi.
The day is at your leisure to explore the city or just relax at your
hotel. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 2: Enjoy an approx. 3 hour private tour
of Anchorage today.
Your tour will highlight
downtown Anchorage,
Lake
Hood (largest and busiest seaplane base in the world!), and a stop
at Alaska Wild Berry Products to view the chocolate waterfall. The
rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 3: Explore
the Chugach Mountain front range on a 2 to 4 hour guided snowshoeing
hike.
During the hike, your
naturalist guide will point out and discuss the flora and fauna of
this unique winter wonderland. No experience is necessary. This
afternoon, continue to explore Anchorage or add an
optional excursion, such as flight
seeing (not included). Overnight Anchorage.
Day 4: Today, take a nostalgic 1 hour
horse-drawn sleigh ride. Relax as the sleigh glides over the snow
through an enchanting winter forest in Ruth Arcand Park. After the
ride, warm with hot beverages up at a small cabin. Overnight
Anchorage.
Please note: transfers to / from Ruth Arcand Park are NOT
included. Taxi service is available to the park.
Day 5:
Depending on your departure flight you might have some free time for
some souvenir shopping or additional excursions. Take the hotel
courtesy shuttle or a taxi to the airport. Depart or start an
additional program.
