A breaching humpback whale.Southeast Alaska, perhaps better known as the Inside Passage, is a magical place of lush coastal rainforest, deep blue fjords, a rich history and abundant wildlife. This independent tour features some of Alaska's best wildlife viewing opportunities. From Alaska's capital city of Juneau, travel by seaplane to view the majestic bears of Admiralty Island and then experience the whales and glaciers of Glacier Bay National Park. This experience in Alaska's Southeast utilizes scheduled flights and day cruises for the best wildlife and glacier viewing opportunities.

Day 01:  Arrival in Juneau on own. Overnight Juneau.

Day 02:  Explore Alaska's capital city of Juneau. A guided sightseeing tour to the Mendenhall glacier is provided. Later, you can choose to take a ride to the top of Mt. Roberts on the tramway (not included) or look around on your own.  The State of Alaska Museum is also a recommended stop. Overnight Juneau.

Day 03:  Today, embark on an approx. 3-hour flightseeing tour to the "Fortress of the Bears," a name given to Admiralty Island by native people due to the fact the island has the highest concentration of bears found anywhere in Alaska. Your skilled pilot/guide will take you to the best areas for bear viewing. Overnight Juneau.

Day 04:  Transfer on own to the Juneau Airport to catch a scheduled flight to Gustavus.  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation. In the afternoon, an exciting (approx.) 3-hour whale watching cruise to Pt. Adolphus in Icy Strait is scheduled. These are the summer feeding grounds for the massive humpback whales. Overnight at the Gustavus Inn (lunch and dinner at inn included).

All aboard for the Glacier Bay National Park Cruise!Day 05:  Today you will cruise aboard a high speed catamaran into Glacier Bay National Park for an 8-hour tour. Lunch is included. Park Rangers are aboard to provide interpretive information. Overnight at the Gustavus Inn (breakfast and dinner at inn included).

Day 06:  Transfer provided this morning after breakfast  to the Gustavus Airport to meet scheduled flight to Juneau (departing Gustavus at about 10:30am, arriving Juneau at about 11:00am). Tour ends on arrival in Juneau.

Juneau sightseeing including Mendenhall Glacier, 3-hour bear viewing flight safari to Admiralty Island, scheduled roundtrip flight Juneau to Gustavus, full-day Glacier Bay catamaran cruise with lunch, whale watching cruise in Icy Straits,  3 nights accommodation in moderate class hotel in Juneau and 2 nights stay at the Gustavus Inn, meals during your stay at the Gustavus Inn as outlined. All taxes.

Transfers in Juneau, meals other then mentioned, other optional excursions/tours. Gratuity.
