The Alaska Homestead Lodge is nestled at the foot of Mt. Iliamna in Lake
Clark National Park, a place of unsurpassed beauty. The lodge is reached
via float plane from Anchorage, Soldotna or Homer, making it an ideal
location for both day and overnight tours. Come and view the bears as
they graze in the meadows, watch the eagles soaring overhead, and look
for harbor seals. Fishing,
clamming, canoeing, hiking, berry picking - it's all part of the
Homestead Lodge experience.

Transfer on own to the Anchorage, Soldotna or Homer airport
for a flight to Alaska
Homestead Lodge. This one hour flight follows a scenic route across
Cook Inlet to the foothills of the Aleutian Range in Lake
Clark National Park. After
landing on a remote beach in front of the lodge, you will have 6 to 7 hours of
guided bear viewing. Your experienced guide will drive you
(in a wagon pulled by an ATV) to the best viewing spots. You will be able to get out of the
wagon to photograph the bears
from safe areas. Lunch is included. Afterwards, board a
return flight to Anchorage, Soldotna or Homer.

Day
1: Anchorage / Soldotna / Homer to Alaska Homestead Lodge
Transfer on own to
the Anchorage, Soldotna or Homer airport for a flight to Alaska
Homestead Lodge. This one hour flight follows a scenic route across

landing on a remote beach, you will have 6 to 7 hours of
guided bear viewing. Your experienced guide will drive you
in an ATV trailer to the best viewing spots. You will be
able to get out of the trailer to photograph the bears from safe
areas. After lunch, continue watching the bears or stroll along
the beach. Enjoy a delicious meal this evening, prepared with
locally grown ingredients. Overnight Alaska Homestead Lodge.
Day
2: Alaska Homestead Lodge
After a casual breakfast at
the lodge, begin a full day of guided bear viewing. Lunch and
dinner will be provided at the lodge. Overnight Alaska Homestead Lodge.
Enjoy a casual breakfast at
the lodge prior to your return to Anchorage, Soldotna or Homer.
Tour concludes.

Refund
Policy:
Cancellations made less than 30 days
prior to the date of arrival will result in forfeiture of the
full payment. All cancellations, including weather
cancellations, are subject to a 10% administrative fee.
Bear Viewing: Although bears roam
the green meadows all summer feeding on sage grass, bear
sightings are NOT guaranteed. The
most reliable time for bear viewing is from July through
mid-August.
Recommended Gear: Sturdy shoes, warm clothing, rain gear
and insect repellant.
