Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge

an oceanside wilderness retreat

Tour 162

Peace & tranquility await at Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge! The Lodge is located on the Kenai Peninsula near Homer midway between Halibut Cove and Seldovia, adjacent to Kachemak Bay State Park. Tutka Bay, a splendidly rugged fjord, reaches seven miles into the glacier studded Kenai Mountains. These glaciers join one another to form the massive Harding Ice Field, which presses down the other side of the mountains into the Kenai Fjords National Park.

The Lodge buildings are nestled on an isthmus in a secluded scalloped-shaped cove. The 6 spacious, charming accommodations each have a private bathroom and shower, satellite TV, high speed internet access, and views of the ocean, mountains and forest. A beachfront gazebo offers a jetted hot tub for guest use; there is also a hand-crafter wood-fired sauna. From the Lodge solarium, guests can enjoy sweeping views of the islands and inlets of Little Tutka Bay, as well as the grand and moody Jakolof Peak.

Meals are included while at Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge. The hearty, nutritious meals feature Alaska seafood, including halibut, shellfish and wild run salmon. Breakfast and dinner are casual affairs, served in the Lodge solarium. Picnic lunches are packed for you to take on your day excursion. Special diets can be accommodated with advance notice.

Activities abound at Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge. From prime wildlife viewing of sea otters and bald eagles, to private hikes, fishing and bear viewing, the Lodge offers something for everyone. The remote Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge offers unique Alaskan experiences for adventure travelers seeking less traveled places!
