Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is nestled within beautiful Halibut Cove on Fox Island in Resurrection Bay just outside of Seward. The lodge is reached by boat just one hour cruise from the Seward harbor, making it a convenient choice if you want to include a lodge stay while in in Alaska. Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge accommodates only 18 guests in comfortable, cabin style rooms with private bath and expertly prepared meals, ensuring you will experience an intimate overnight stay in the quiet solitude of Resurrection Bay.
Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge offers independent activities including quiet walks on secluded beaches, hikes on the mountain trails, as well as guided sea kayaking trips (additional cost), bird watching, and observing local marine life on Fox Island. All overnight trips to Fox Island include a marine wildlife cruise to the Northwestern Fjord into Kenai Fjords National Park. This marine tour is the most extensive glacier and wildlife viewing cruise option into the pristine Kenai Fjords wilderness that is available from Seward.

Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge Tour 170S - from Seward
2 days / 1 night
Day 01: Depart Seward Harbor by boat at 12:00 noon. Cruise the waters of Resurrection Bay during the trip to Fox Island. On arrival at the lodge, a delicious salmon bake lunch is served. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure for beachcombing or hiking the mountain lake trail. Guided sea kayaking trips are recommended and are available at extra cost. Fresh seafood is on the menu for dinner as well. Overnight in private cabin. (Lunch, Dinner)
Day 02: After breakfast, depart the island for a full day cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park to Northwestern Fjord. Covering approximately 580,000 acres of natural beauty, the park is full of glaciers and wildlife. Views of the massive Harding Icefield are impressive. Marine life abounds in these rich waters. Sea otters, sea lions, Dall porpoises, seals, and even the occasional humpback or Grey whales call this area home. Bird life is prolific with over 200 different species, including puffins, murres, gillemots, and eagles. The tour terminates in Seward at approximately 6:30pm. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge Tour 170A - from Anchorage
3 days / 2 night
Day 01: Early morning transfer to Anchorage railroad station on own. At 6:45am depart on the Alaska Railroad for a scenic journey to the Kenai Peninsula and to Seward. Upon arrival in Seward transfer by courtesy shuttle from railroad station to Seward Small Harbor. Depart Seward Harbor by boat at 12:00 noon. Cruise the waters of Resurrection Bay during the trip to Fox Island. On arrival at the lodge, a delicious salmon bake lunch is served. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure for beachcombing or hiking the mountain lake trail. Guided sea kayaking trips are recommended and are available at extra cost. Fresh seafood is on the menu for dinner as well. Overnight in private cabin. (Lunch, Dinner)

Day 03: Today you will have time to explore Seward. Optional activities include a visit of the Alaska SeaLife Center, Exit Glacier, or a helicopter flightseeing tour (all at additional cost). In the evening a scheduled coach provides your transfer to Anchorage. Arrival in Anchorage at approx. 9:30pm.

Tour 170A - from Anchorage: Alaska Railroad transfer from Anchorage to Seward, 1 night at Fox Island with 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, full day Northwestern Fjords cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park, 1 night in hotel in Seward, coach transfer from Seward to Anchorage, and all taxes and fees.

For tour 170S transfers to/from Seward. For tour 170A transfers in Anchorage.
