Kenai
Fjords Wilderness Lodge and overnight cabins are nestled within
beautiful Halibut Cove on Fox Island. The lodge is reached
by a one hour cruise from Seward. Every guest room
has a private bathroom and two beds. With never more than eighteen
overnight guests, you will have peace and solitude during the evening
to enjoy this marine setting. Fox Island activities include quiet walks on secluded beaches, hikes on the mountain
trails, guided sea kayaking trips (additional cost), bird watching
and observing local marine life. A marine wildlife cruise into Kenai
Fjords National Park for glacier and wildlife viewing is included
in your stay at the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge.

Seward

Day
01: Depart Seward Harbor at 12:00 noon. Cruise the
waters of Resurrection Bay during the trip to Fox
Island. On arrival at the lodge, a delicious salmon
bake lunch is served. After lunch, spend the
afternoon at leisure for beachcombing or hiking the
mountain lake trail. Guided sea kayaking trips are
recommended and are available at extra cost. Fresh
seafood is on the menu for dinner as well. Overnight
in private cabin. (Lunch, Dinner)
Day
02: After breakfast, depart the island for
a full day cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. Covering approximately
580,000 acres of natural beauty, the park is full of glaciers and wildlife; sights of the massive Harding Icefield are impressive. Marine life abounds
in these rich waters: sea otters, sea lions, Dall porpoises, seals and
even the occasional humpback or Grey whales call
this area home. Bird life is prolific with over 200
different species, including puffins, murres, gillemots and
eagles. The tour terminates in Seward at
approximately 6:30pm. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Anchorage

Day
01: Early morning transfer to Anchorage railroad
station on own. At 6:45am depart on the Alaska
Railroad for a scenic journey to the Kenai Peninsula
and to Seward. Upon arrival in Seward transfer by
courtesy shuttle from railroad station to Seward
Small Harbor. At 12:00 noon depart from here and cruise the
waters of Resurrection Bay to Fox
Island. On arrival at Fox Island, a delicious salmon
bake lunch is served (the lunch is served for all
guests arriving with the cruise boat, only the
overnight guests will stay back at Fox Island after
lunch). After lunch, spend the
afternoon at leisure for beachcombing or hiking the
mountain lake trail. Guided sea kayaking trips are
recommended and are available at extra cost. Fresh
seafood is on the menu for dinner as well. Overnight

Day
03: Today it is time to explore Seward.
Optional activities include a visit of the Alaska
SeaLife Center, Exit Glacier or enjoy a helicopter
flightseeing tour (all at additional cost). In the
evening a scheduled coach provides transfer to
Anchorage. Arrival in Anchorage at approx. 9:30pm.
