Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge 

Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge is an exclusive private hideaway, hosting only 10 to 12 guests per week. Your all-inclusive rate includes daily naturalist guide service, gourmet meals, and a private cabin with views of the ocean and mountains.  The eight friendly, experienced staff at this award winning lodge provide personalized service. During your visit you will have your personal guide (one guide per party) and may choose among viewing wildlife, glaciers, birding, fishing, hiking, tide pooling, sea kayaking, and relaxing surrounded by mountains and ocean in a fantastic wilderness setting.

The lodge, about 30 minutes by boat from Homer, is located in a beautiful and peaceful ocean and mountains setting. There are four distinctive and uniquely Alaskan private guest cabins. Each has a private bath, sitting/living area separate from the bedroom and a deck with spectacular views of the mountain and sea. Several cabins have two bedrooms for families. The cabins are comfortably furnished with original art, home-made quilts, fresh flowers, chocolates, a fruit basket and wine. The main lodge features a large living/dining room with amazing views and an open kitchen. There is a sod-roof Finnish log sauna, outdoor hot tub, solarium with large outdoor deck, and large docks with outdoor cook-out pavilion.  

Day 1: Homer to Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge

Arrival in Homer on own. At about 4:00pm depart Homer by boat. Your boat ride to Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge takes you by Gull Island, an "island" rock which is home to different birds. Upon arrival at the lodge you will be welcomed by the staff. A fresh fruit basket awaits you in your room. Enjoy appetizers and a glass of wine in the main lodge, get to know your fellow guests and the lodge's staff members. You will be informed about your activity options for the next days. After dinner, relax. Overnight
 

Day 2+:  Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge

This morning fresh coffee, tea and juice will be delivered to your cabin. After a good breakfast you will start your chosen activities with your personal guide. Lunch can be eaten at the lodge or take a packed lunch if you are planning on a longer excursion today. You may want to canoe, sea kayaking, go hiking or try some fishing. Bear viewing tours or heli-hiking tours can also be arranged but are not included and are at additional cost. You will return from your activity in time to get refreshed and to enjoy appetizers and refreshments at 6:00pm, followed by a delicious 5-course dinner. The evening after dinner is yours to enjoy with family and friends in your cabin, in the shared Solarium playing games and watching movies, going for an unguided walk, or relaxing in the sauna and hot tub.
 

Departure Day:  After breakfast, at about 10:30am you depart the lodge for Homer by boat.  Tour ends on arrival in Homer. 

Daily activities might include viewing wildlife, glaciers, birding, fishing, hiking, tide pooling, sea kayaking, and relaxing surrounded by mountains and ocean in a fantastic wilderness setting.

Flightseeing / bear viewing tours and heli-hiking tours also are available but are not included in the tour price and are in addition. Rates are on request only.
 

Roundtrip boat transfer from Homer to Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge, lodging, all meals during stay at lodge including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine, personal guide service, use of lodge equipment.
 

Alcoholic beverages such as hard liqueur (not available at lodge) and gratuity.

May 15 - September 10, 2007 with possible arrivals on Mondays and Fridays for 3-night stays
and Fridays arrivals for 6-night stay only!
