Glacier Bay Lodge is a National Park Service Lodge and the only accommodations located within the park boundaries. Nestled between the spruce trees of Bartlett Cove, the Lodge features unsurpassed views of the Fairweather Mountain range and is the starting point for cruises of Glacier Bay National Park.

 

Glacier Bay Lodge consists of a main lobby and separate accommodation wings. The main lobby has a sitting area with a massive stone fireplace, park interpretive center, gift shop and restaurant. The rustic and cozy guest rooms are separate from the main building and are accessed from the lobby by boardwalks. Each basic but comfortable room includes two beds, a private bathroom, phone, and small desk.

 

The restaurant serves regionally-inspired cuisine. All meals are served in the Fairweather Dining Room or on the outside deck. Breakfast includes traditional favorites, lunch offers delicious burgers and freshly made sandwiches and dinner includes local seafood favorites like Dungeness Crab (a house specialty), halibut and salmon.

 

Activities at the lodge are mainly park ranger programs including guided nature hikes and presentations, mountain bike rental, and kayak rental. There are several miles of well maintained trails winding through the rainforest and along the beaches for independent hikes.
