Our Glacier Bay National Park Experience tour includes a full day cruise into the national park, as well as a whale watching adventure cruise into Icy Strait along Pt. Adolphus from the town of Gustavus.  Glacier Bay National Park is located on the northwest end of Alaska's Inside Passage.  In 1925, Glacier Bay was designated a national monument to preserve the glacial environment. Glacier Bay was designated a National Park in 1980, and then as an UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve in 1986, followed by being names a World Heritage Site in 1992. Glacier Bay National Park is truly one of Alaska's treasures!

Glacier Bay National Park Experience
3 day / 2 night

 

Day 1: Arrive Gustavus

Transfer on your own to the Juneau* airport for a morning or mid-day scheduled flight to Gustavus. On arrival, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your selected accommodation. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Gustavus.

 

Day 2: Glacier Bay National Park Cruise

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before transferring to Bartlett Cove for your 8 hour narrated cruise of Glacier Bay National Park. Watch for whales, Stellar sea lions and birds as the high-speed catamaran cruises through the park to the face of the Margerie and Grand Pacific Glaciers, two of 16 tidewater glaciers found in the National Park. You may even be fortunate enough to see glacier calving (ice falling off into the ocean). Lunch is included and park rangers are aboard to provide interpretive information. The boat will return to Bartlett Cove in the late afternoon. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight Gustavus. Lunch included.

 

Day 3: Whale watching cruise & Gustavus departure

This morning, depart on a 3.5 hour whale watching cruise into Icy Strait and Point Adolphus to see humpback whales in their summer feeding grounds. The whales' unique feeding techniques, acrobatics and vocalizations make this tour unforgettable. In the evening, transfer is provided to the airport for your scheduled departure flight to Juneau. Tour concludes.

Roundtrip scheduled flights from Juneau to Gustavus. 2 nights accommodation. 8 hour Glacier Bay National Park Cruise with lunch. 3.5 hour whale watching cruise. Transfers in Gustavus. All taxes and fees.

Any time after our written confirmation:  10% of invoice total.

120 to 91 days prior to lodge stay date: $100 per person or 20% of invoice, whichever is greater.

90 to 60 days prior to lodge stay date:  50% of invoice total.

59 to 30 days prior to lodge stay date: 75% of invoice total.

30 to 0 days prior to lodge stay date:  100% of invoice total.

Gustavus Inn and Bear Tracks Inn:

Any time after our written confirmation: 10% of invoice total.

120 to 91 days prior to lodge stay date: 20% of invoice.

90 to 45 days prior to lodge stay date:  50% of invoice total.

45 to 36 days prior to lodge stay date: 60% of invoice total.

35 to 0 days prior to lodge stay date: 100% of invoice total.

Important note: Flights to/from Gustavus are often in small planes with luggage weight limits of 50 pounds per person! Soft-sided luggage is recommended.
