Tour 161: Winterlake Lodge on the Iditarod Trail

Wellness and Adventure Lodge in the
Alaska Mountain Range

Winter Lake LodgeWinterlake Lodge offers seclusion and spectacular scenery, including views of the Trimble and Hayes Glacier and the entrance to Rainy Pass. Located on the National Historic Iditarod Trail, the lodge offers many opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. The area is home to many species of Alaska birds, wildflowers, and berries that are rarely seen in other locales. It is also located on the National Historic Iditarod Trail and serves as one of the race checkpoints.

With its wellness program, cooking classes, wine tasting and lots of choices for activities such as hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking and of course dog mushing in the winter time, this lodge is the perfect getaway for couples, families, a group of friends, all loving the outdoors and who want to get away from the busy day by day life.

The lodge offers a comfortable main room, for relaxing by the fire and viewing the lake from large picture windows, a cozy dining area, a large meditative yoga room, hot tub on the main deck, and a lakeside wood burning sauna.
