Cruise Self Drive Touring
After your cruise between Vancouver and Seward, tour Alaska
by car! This itinerary offers Alaska's highlights and an
easy driving pace to allow time to experience each area in
one comprehensive package. Destinations include Talkeetna,
Denali National Park, Fairbanks, the gateway region to
Wrangell-St. Elias and Anchorage. The touring route includes
two of America's designated "Scenic Byways," the Seward and
Glenn Highways. The tour itinerary operates for all cruise
arrivals in Seward.

Day 01: Seward
Upon arrival
in Seward, pick up your rental car. Enjoy a
full day to explore by car. Visit Exit
Glacier,
Alaska SeaLife Center
(admissions not included), or choose an
optional cruise into the Kenai Fjords
National Park. Overnight Seward.
Day 02:
Seward to Talkeetna
/ 240 miles
Plan 5 hours drive time, not
including stops.
This morning enjoy the scenic drive along
Cook Inlet from Seward.
Drive through Anchorage and into the
Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
Overnight Talkeetna.
Optional activities in
Talkeetna include River Cruise, Fishing, or
Flightseeing.
Day 03:
Talkeetna to Denali

Plan 3 hours drive
time, not including stops.
Enjoy the scenic
drive from the town of Talkeetna
to Denali.
Overnight Denali. Take in an optional activity,
such as
Whitewater Rafting or a
Jeep Safari.
Day 04:
Denali National Park to
Fairbanks

Plan 2.5 to 3 hours drive
time, not including stops.
Enjoy a 7-hour Tundra Wildlife Tour in
Denali National Park this morning, including
boxed lunch. After the tour drive at your
leisure to Fairbanks. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 05:
Fairbanks to
Glennallen

Plan approximately 5 hours drive time, not including
stops.
Follow
Alaska
and
Richardson Highways through the great interior
region and into the Copper River Delta. Overnight
Glennallen area.

06: Glennallen
to Anchorage

drive time, without stops.
Enjoy one of
Alaska's most scenic drives as you journey
south on the Glenn Highway to Anchorage.
Overnight Anchorage.
Day 07:
Anchorage
Today, drop off your rental
car at the airport before heading home.
