Travel to Denali on a fall or winter adventure! The narrated tour departs from Fairbanks and travels south through the Tanana Valley along the Parks Highway. Your guide will share areas of interest and also stop at the rural community of Nenana, situated on the banks of the Tanana River. As you continue south the Alaska range comes in to view. Visit the Murie Science Learning Center at the Denali Park entrance upon arrival. The center focuses on learning about the park, and how the plants, animals and humans adapt to survive the extreme winter cold of Alaska’s interior. Visit the National Park’s sled dog yard at headquarters and learn how the team monitors the park. Please note the dogs may be out working in the park. Enjoy a short walk, or try snowshoeing, to experience up close the beauty of the area on a nearby nature trail. In the afternoon you will return to Fairbanks.
