Tour Overview

On this day tour out of Kennicott-McCarthy, experience the best of Kennicott with this hiking and sightseeing combination tour! First enjoy a spectacular half-day hike on the Root Glacier, searching for deep crevasses, shimmering blue pools and waterfalls. After about 5 hours of hiking, you will return to Kennicott where you will have a short break before stepping back in time on a historic 2-hour tour of Kennicott Mill and the old mining town Kennicott. This is the only Kennicott-McCarthy day tour permitted to enter the historic buildings.
