Tour Overview

This Juneau day trip combines helicopter flightseeing with guided glacier touring on Mendenhall Glacier. Moments after departing Juneau, you will enjoy breathtaking vistas of the city and its surrounding mountains and glaciers. The helicopter’s bird’s eye view of the Mendenhall Glacier gives you a detailed glimpse into its ice spires, deep blue crevasses and meltwater pools. Descending towards the glacier landing site, you will fly past the Mendenhall Towers, rock sentinels that soar to nearly 7,000 feet! A gentle landing brings you on to the glacier itself, where you will explore the glacier’s surface with an expert guide. This day tour from Juneau is approximately two hours in duration, including transfers, with 30 minutes of flight time and 20 – 25 minutes on the glacier. The day trip departs from the Mt Roberts Tram near the Juneau cruise ship docks.
