
3 Days / 2 Nights
Day 1:
Anchorage to Denali National Park
At 3pm*, depart from
the Anchorage Museum on a motorcoach** to Denali National
Park.
Relax and capture the scenery from large picture windows. A
short stop will be made in Talkeetna, before arriving in Denali
at 9pm. Overnight near the Denali park
entrance.
**Train Option:
Travel by train from Anchorage (dept 8:15am) to
Denali (arrive 3:45pm) for an
additional $56 per adult and $28 per child for standard service or
$141 per adult and $71 per child for Gold Star service.
Day 2: Denali National Park Tour
Early this morning (between 5:30am and 7am),
depart on a bus tour of Denali National Park.
This 6 to 8 hour tour takes you approximately
53 miles into the Park. As you travel through the
pristine wilderness, your experienced driver
/ guide will provide an
overview of the land and its wildlife. Along
the way, stops will be made for viewing
wildlife, such as bears and moose, and
taking photographs.
A snack box and hot beverage are included.
The afternoon
is free for optional tours, such as
rafting and helicopter
sight seeing (not included).
Tonight, we recommend the delicious salmon dinner and amusing antics
served at the
Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre
show (not included). Overnight near the Denali park entrance.
Day 3:
Denali to Anchorage
Sleep in this morning or enjoy a
short excursion before departing. Just after 12 noon, you will
depart for Anchorage on the railroad. The train travels south
through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, making stops in Talkeetna
and Wasilla. Stroll through the train, visit the dining car and
pick up souvenirs at the gift shop. Tour concludes
upon arrival in Anchorage this
evening (approx. 8:00pm).
